HUNTERS COURT STABLE
|
|
| What do you get, after 30+ years as an outstanding trainer, barn owner, and wonderful, talented horseman?
More than 3 years in the building, Hunter's Court (in its present location) began as a rather large tent provided by Fuzzy. Through the immense efforts of contractors, friends, and David himself, slowly the new facility came into being. (Although, if you had seen David playing with the huge tractors, back hoes and such... lucky he didn't take out a wall!) Truthfully, he himself put in almost as much effort as the builders, time permitting. After all this, no regular opening party would do. (David never does anything on a small scale, anyway.) TLP is proud to present this page as an opening gift to one of the H/J
industry's finest trainers, and an all-around nice guy. |

| The Hunter's Court entrance. I was dodging
the valet parking fellows to get this shot.
The barn entry consists of several spacious offices, and a comfortable waiting room to the right above (decorated by Teddy's latest trophy, which he won the day before the party.) Several of the 3-way stall windows may be seen. |
|
| Once through the entry way, there was a master Sushi chef
doing his thing in the barn aisles. This photo taken from the 2nd floor.
Just a hair to the right, out of the frame, is a graceful Thoroughbred head poking out of his stall. The look was priceless! |

Here is David with the Sushi master, Choy. This guy was good.
He had his own setup, just across the barn from the table above. A large
Warmblood was fascinated by the huge knives flashing... I went down to talk
to him, big mistake. Turned away for 5 seconds and the sucker drank my Coke!
He was eying Gary's Scotch as we walked away. |
| Pulled pork in the wash racks, what next? There was sufficient
food to feed an army.
Unfortunately, my one shot of the full band playing the indoor didn't come out. They had put down tiles for a dance floor, and many long tables. Rats! |

Upstairs, one can look down into the barn. This is one of
two wet bars David had, one at the end of each aisle. (See that horse far
right? That's the sucker that drank my Coke.)
You can also see one of the walkways at the far end. To the right is a lovely large room with a pool table. To the left are yet more tables, overlooking the indoor. |
| Note the horses on the pool table! Where did David
find such a thing?
Behind the pool table are the doors leading to the balcony. |

What a great place to sit and watch schooling in the arena!
(Or throw back a few Cold Ones, as these fellows are doing.) |

| David, from all your friends at Hunter's Court
and elsewhere, we love you! (We especially loved that party and are waiting
for the next one.)
Hunter's Court is an outstanding accomplishment, and is well-deserved. We wish you many happy years (and many more BIG Grand Prix wins)! |
