HUNTERS COURT LESSON PROGRAM POLICIES

  1. A riding lesson is an appointment which you are expected to keep. If you schedule a lesson, you are expected to pay for the lesson or cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
  2. Lessons will run as scheduled regardless of weather conditions.
  3. Approved helmets must be worn by all students when they are mounted. Hunters Court will provide helmets for those who do not have their own, but Hunters Court cannot guarantee proper fit of all loaned helmets. We strongly suggest that regular students of any age buy their own helmet and proper riding attire, including boots with a heel.
  4. Not all lessons will be taught on horseback. Classroom and "In the Barn" instruction are part of our riding school program.
  5. Students should arrive for lessons 30 minutes before the scheduled lesson time to groom their horse and prepare for the lesson. Students should allow an additional 20 to 30 minutes following their lesson to properly groom and cool out their horse, clean all equipment used in their lesson and return it to its proper storage area. To show that we respect your time, if your instructor is more than 10 minutes late to the ring for your lesson and you are mounted and in the ring on time, you will receive a free lesson in the future!
