AT THE GULF COAST WINTER CLASSIC

David Wright exhibited brilliance as he guided South Point Farm's 10-year old, 18 hand Hanoverian gelding Renaissance around a beautiful course of 10 natural obstacles in the first round of the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby at the Gulf Coast Winter Classic. He returned to the second round with the top score of 172 and proceeded to handily navigate the 2nd course which included a trot jump over a small log, inside turns, a gate that had to be opened and walked through and a hand gallop to the last oxer. Choosing the higher 4' options, and perfectly executing the course, David and Renaissance achieved an unbelievable score of 195 for their second round, which included a score of 99 from one of the judges!
