HUNTERS COURT STABLE

In Loving Memory

CAMPARI
1988-2010

Although aware of a previous broken neck and hock,
which apparently happened during an airplane shipping accident,
David Wright purchased the chestnut Oldenburg gelding Campari (by Zeus)
and the partnership went on to a short but very successful 3-year show career
with earnings of over $250,000 in USEF & Non-USEF competitions.

Campari, along with his stablemate Step Right Up,
were honored in an official but albeit bittersweet retirement ceremony
before the Music Country Grand Prix on Sunday, May 31st, 2009 at Brownland Farm.

Witih great sadness, Campari had to be euthanized
on March 19, 2010 due to severe colitis.

Campari will be sadly missed by all who knew him and knew of him.
Take time to remember his great moments
by viewing the video and photos below.

Somewhere...somewhere in time's own space
There must be some sweet pastured place

Where creeks sing on and tall trees grow

Some Paradise where horses go.

For by the love that guides my pen
I know great horses live again.

Rest in Peace Campari.
